“Just what is The Dandy Cat?”
This is a question we get asked a lot.
Are we a barber? Are we a shop? Are we a venue? Well, the short answer is that we are a little bit of all of the above.
The Dandy Cat is about choice; a carefully curated collection of nice things, predominantly for the gentlemen; stylish haircuts, opulent grooming products and delicately distilled spirits.
Don’t be fooled though, we are not exclusively for men, we have many stylish women who pass through our doors, after all, style isn’t about gender; it’s a state of mind, an attitude.
We wanted to create a space for like minded people to meet, discover new ideas or products and relax, safe in the knowledge that their “manliness” won’t be judged on their likes or dislikes.
This blog is a way-in for those that would like to know a little more before they walk in the shop door.
Over the course of this blog we intend to highlight some of the amazing products that we have in stock and give you a strong reason as to why we stock that product in the first place. Nothing we have is bought thoughtlessly from a wholesaler for profit, everything we stock we use, and everything is of the highest quality from the best brands. The majority of our brands are locally sourced but we also stock brands from further afield, as long as they offer something special.
Luxury should not be defined by expense or it’s disposable nature. Everything we stock is sustainable, paraben-free or vegan; and it is the quality of these products and the way they improve your daily routine that gives you that feeling of indulgent pampering, not their price. Being stylish shouldn’t cost the earth.
We have tested all the creams, razors and blades (and dismissed many along the way); we have worn the cologne, had our hair cut by the master barber and used the products they recommend; we have washed with the soaps and face washes, listened to all the vinyl and tasted each and every one of our delicious spirits.
I know what your thinking, it is a hard life.
What is The Dandy Cat then?
The Dandy Cat is about you and your style, whatever that may be. A place where you can browse luxury products, a place where you can enhance your own personal style (or discover a new one) and a place where you are always welcome and can be yourself.
